Discuss: Goodyear Unveils New Tires, ElectricDrive 2, What it Offers Tesla Owners

I'm happy with my current Goodyear EV tires, but that's only been 7k or so miles. Can't speak to wear, I was not happy about my OEM Michelins needing replacement at 24k miles. Well, 2 of them, the rears, which I didn't rotate because they all seemed to be wearing evenly when I did check them...

Discuss: Tesla Releases App Update v4.28.2 With Minor Fixes

Restarted my phone for grins, my GF’s model 3 showed up and my car is taking forever to wake so maybe that’s the problem- My car is in a coma. Better go check on it! Edit- that did it. Odd, I had to set the widget back to my Y instead of the 3 but it's there and the car is alive. Phew.

Discuss: Tesla Releases App Update v4.28.2 With Minor Fixes

Weird, my Tesla widget is now blank (iPhone 15pro). Just a black rectangle. It does launch the app when I touch it, so it IS the Tesla app widget :) . I even tried ‘turning it off and on again’ but no change. Wait for another update.

Discuss: Tesla Model 3 Highland May Be Announced This Month for North America; Performance Variant Underway

Refreshes are always welcome, and of course it’s gonna be here soon, what I’d like to see is a leap in battery tech. I personally feel 300 miles should be the minimum rating for a standard range vehicle in 2024+. Why? Because everything kills range: cold, heat, > 60 MPH, and of course elevation...

Discuss: Tesla Vehicle Sales Up 38%, but BYD Emerges As New EV Leader

The big three will resort to badging the Chinese companies cars as their own, like they did with Mitsubishi and Geo IIRC. Bold prediction from someone who knows nothing or even less about the biz :) .

    FSD 11.4.9

A little, but not like before. 2020 Y LR and 2018 3 LR, so different hardware from what you have.

Discuss: First Look at Tesla's FSD Beta v12.1 [Video]

Can anyone verify from the video that it is v12.1? Except for the constant nags it doesn't look different, or am I missing something?

Model X battery degradation 11% after 6 months

But it's never 'miles used' it's always kWh used. Thinking in miles is totally misleading because one way trips are never level and never gonna add up properly. When I go to Phoenix from Prescott I use 25% of my Y's battery. On the way back I use 50%. That's better information than I used 50...

    So my 2021 X performance had Summon 2023 X ?

Good question. You have the latest hardware and I believe it is so new you're feeling the bleeding razor's edge right now. I believe other HW4 cars have reported limited functionality. Of course you should keep an eye out for software updates in the car, there's usually one available right after...

Model X battery degradation 11% after 6 months

I believe they recommend charging to 80% unless you need more. Also- there's a way to 'recalibrate' the battery, or at least there was in the past. That involves running it down to very low state of charge and then charging to 100%. Who knows if that works with all the variation of batteries...

    Huh, still beta then?

Discuss: 2023.44.25 Official Tesla Release Notes

Hmm, just had 44.30.5.1 fail to install, I wonder what’s going on? Others have reported the same thing. Edit- Got the notification again and this time it worked. Minor fixes...

Discuss: 2023.44.25 Official Tesla Release Notes

Actually 11.4.9 has petered out, now it is dribbling compared to the prior couple days. After a few days using it- still doing the stuff that annoys me- unnecessary turn signals, unnecessary lane changes to stay on route. It had a hard time getting onto I17 at an on ramp that was not a problem...

Discuss: 2023.44.25 Official Tesla Release Notes

    We're getting 2023.44.30.2 (2020 Y and 2018 3). Any guess why the 3/Y would get a .2 and the X got the .4? Maybe the .4 is for S & X? I am at a loss but at least we're all on 11.4.9 which isn't a huge leap. Bring on v12!

Discuss: 2023.44.25 Official Tesla Release Notes

Huh, looks like 44.30.2 and 44.30.4 are going out big, but .3 is not. Must be some regional or model specific stuff in those releases.

Discuss: Tesla Autopilot Director Talks About the Future of High Fidelity Park Assist and It Coming to Vehicles With USS

I have a 2020 Y with USS and I really hope my car gets this soon. I'd think that if my car is truly FSD capable it would be able to do this as well. Fingers crossed. Are the HW4 cars getting this first? I suppose they should as they've been shut out of some stuff already!

Discuss: Tesla Confirms They're Working on Wireless, Inductive Home Charging

This will be interesting. Perhaps the Qi 2 standard? Seriously though, this won't come cheap and won't be as efficient as a plug. Not to be a negative Nelly :) . I can see a benefit besides the ease of use- trip hazard reduction. Maybe. We'll see.

Discuss: Tesla Removes Disney+ App From Vehicles - Here's How to Get It Back

I think the app re-appears if you load up the browser page, at least that's how I read it. The app also only disappears if you haven't used it according to Electrek's podcast. Still a douche move, even if Elon has gone great lengths to make amends for the original faux pas.
