Discuss: Tesla's Swift Response to "Recall" Highlights Efficiency and the Need for Change

Sign of the times- I read that 'Taylor Swift' instead of Tesla's swift.... Oy. Perhaps there should be a category 'OTA recall' or something as that's the present for a few cars and future for many more.

Discuss: Should Tesla Adopt a "FSD" Light To Let Others Know Autopilot Is Active?

I don’t think I like this idea. I prefer that other drivers worry about their driving. This kind of reminds me of the driving school cars you see with ‘student driver’ on them. Maybe a ‘student driver’ sticker for FSDb as long as it is in beta :) .

Discuss: Tesla's High Fidelity Park Assist: Strengths and Areas for Improvement [VIDEO]

That was a great explanation of where auto park is now, kudos on the video people for doing the drone overlay! The reminder that this is v1 is also appreciated. Oh, and the Rivian video is a reminder that the tech isn’t perfect and we are still on our own.

Discuss: Tesla Talks FSD: FSD V12 Rollout, Hardware 5, Miles Driven, Beta label and FSD Licensing

Thanks, this answered my previous question. Looks like we are weeks away from the rest of us getting v12. Fingers crossed it is a 2024.2 build or newer!

Discuss: Tesla's Q4 Earnings Call: When and How to Watch Live

I've seen a few things reported on from this call but nothing on v12 or FSD updates. So I'm guessing there wasn't anything too interesting mentioned?

Discuss: Unveiling 'Redwood': Tesla's Answer to Mass Market EV Demands

Mid 2025. Would have loved to see this sooner. If public perception continues to sway from BEVs to Hybrids being ‘better’ at the current rate then Redwood will have a more difficult time. The only good thing about waiting another year- the tech should be better/safer/faster. For a small car to...

Discuss: Tesla Sets New Standards in Autonomy with FSD Beta v12.1.2 Launch

I look forward to seeing more of this v12. It occurs to me that as FSD gets better at driving it will probably need to also get better in communicating what its intentions are. They've already added this with the 'wall' and 'creeping for visibility' but maybe some audio feedback would help. Then...

Discuss: 2023.44.30.12 (FSD Beta v12.1.2) Release Notes

A pretty big change, yes. A few people hated the changes, I didn't mind interface changes that much. The FSD part was not a leap forward, or as much as we all wanted. I think at that time I didn't have a FSD capable car but I had high hopes for it.

Big hopes for v12. I remember saying that about v9…

Discuss: Tesla's Cybertruck is Capturing the Imagination of the Next Generation

I’m still a reservation holder for a CT. Configured a fully loaded one for $77k back when it was announced. Sadly, the reality of the CT has fallen so short of the specs / price that there’s no way I can or would get one at this point. I understand the world has changed a lot since the...

Discuss: 2024.2 Official Tesla Release Notes

Security improvements? Sure hope we all get this soon then. FSDb tends to lag a bit.

Discuss: The New Model 3 Performance Has Been Spotted With New 'Plaid' Sport Seats

Nifty. I really like the 3! My hope is that the P3 gets new battery chemistry or something that will trickle down to the LR and give it longer range / better cold weather performance / etc. Then when the refreshed Y comes out it will have all that going for it under the hood (or whatever we...

Discuss: Elon Musk Seeks Increased Voting Control in Tesla for an Important Reason

Personally I would prefer Elon be less associated with Tesla. That’s just my knee jerk reaction to this story. However I am small minded in that I think of it as a car company and it is so much more. Maybe too much more? I’m no expert in anything here so perhaps I should keep my mouth shut.

    Discuss - Version 2023.44.30.9

Maybe not, it could very well be that the next version of FSDb that we get will be based on the newest stuff out there for the non-FSDb build, we're just lagging. That seems to make sense to me.

Discuss: Additional Specs Revealed About Tesla's V4 Superchargers

Interesting information on the feedback and how it has been embraced by Tesla. I suppose it is best to get all those details exactly right before deploying v4 everywhere instead of v3. Can’t wait to see v4 deets take over on the supercharge.info site :) .

Discuss: 2023.44.30 (OTA Recall and FSD Beta 11.4.9) Release Notes

Yes on the wipers. I noticed a strange thing that others have reported, still seeing it so I thought I'd ask- on my 2020 Y sometimes when I get in the drivers door and close it I hear OTHER windows move up a little. When are they dropping? Is that normal? Does your X do that? No one else has...

Discuss: Tesla Significantly Reduces Wrap Pricing and Adds New Abyss Blue Color

In their defense, it's supposed to be the high end material. What I don't get is - why does the CT need a wrap with the high end material? Why not go cheaper there if the steel under it doesn't benefit from it?

Discuss: Tesla Unveils Refreshed Model 3 in North America

Minor bump on the range, I'm curious which battery chem this one has. Are they coming from China, is that why they have no fed tax incentives?
