Discuss: GM Embraces Tesla's Charging Connector: The North American Charging Standard Is Now True to Its Name

True, there is a LOT more to the 'charging experience' than just the plug.

Discuss: GM Embraces Tesla's Charging Connector: The North American Charging Standard Is Now True to Its Name

I hadn’t thought about it, but the companies that build the charging infrastructure are an important piece of this puzzle. According to Electrek quite a few charger companies are now on board.

Discuss: GM Embraces Tesla's Charging Connector: The North American Charging Standard Is Now True to Its Name

I’m really happy to see this happening. That said- I have to admit I haven’t used a CCS charger yet. My hope is that the adaption of the connector also comes with the PLACEMENT of the charge port on the driver’s rear corner. That’s needed to be part of the standard IMO. So who’s next?

Discuss: Tesla Gears Up to Enhance Service Mode: New Features Unveiled in Upcoming Software Update

I understand your frustration, however posting that in an unrelated thread doesn't help anyone. Tesla isn't gonna read your post :(

    Tesla App

Go to your Tesla Account page (create one if you haven't already at Tesla.com, Account under the drop down menu). See where it has 'Purchased a car from a third party in the pic? Hit add and you'll have to type the VIN. Tesla will contact you after that for the docs, at least that's how it...

    Tesla App

Contact Tesla directly with proof of ownership. Probably best to stop by a service center, but in the 'old' days you could do all that through your tesla account online by uploading docs. in the mean time keep pestering the previous owner :) .

Discuss: FSD Beta 11.3.6 (2023.12.10) Official Tesla Release Notes

First time I've seen this and I've been paying attention. At least I thought I had been paying attention. Maybe that second 11.3.6 one has more to do with deploying to cars outside the US? Who knows... We just got 11.4.2 and it isn't any big change from 11.3.6 from what little we've seen. Still...

Discuss: Tesla and Ford Forge New Partnership: Ford To Incorporate Tesla Charge Port (NACS) in Future EVs

“Ford's existing charging network, the BlueOval Charge Network, already boasts over 84,000 chargers.” I’m gonna have to research that one, sounds very impressive or a network I never read anything about.

Discuss: Tesla Rolls Out FSD Beta 11.4.2 to Employees

Hope this goes wider soon, it is a little confusing with the 11.3.6 release but based on 2023. Confusing to me at least :) .

Discuss: Tesla Reignites FSD Beta Rollout to New Testers With Latest FSD Update

That's interesting. I guess that takes the pressure off them to put out 11.4.x to the public?

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta 11.4.1 to Employees, Featuring Major Architectural Improvements

Are employees allowed to upload videos? I've only seen a couple videos labelled 11.4, neither showed a build # on the screen so who knows if those were legit.

Discuss: Tesla FSD Beta 11.4.1 is Excellent states Elon Musk

Good. I'll take this report as saying - still not ready for the rest of us.

Discuss: The Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD Is Now Available in the U.S. With 325 Miles of Range

Interesting play by Tesla. Am I wrong or with 1/2 the tax credit this car starts at what the slightly more expensive Y with a full tax credit starts at price wise?

Discuss: Tesla Fires Back at Biased LA Times Article on Musk's Settlement with Hothi

Interesting points. I remember the LA Times having headlines that caught my eye because they just seemed to have an anti-Tesla bend and were IMO misleading, or exaggerated if not just plain wrong. Was all that from one journalist? Not so long ago Business Insider did that kind of reporting on...

Discuss: Musk Comments on Tesla FSD Beta 11.4.1 As Anticipation Builds for Public Release

I was just asking about 11.4, thanks for the update!

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta 11.4: What's New

I'm sure it is all internal testing at this point. Trying to interpret silence is impossible and prolly reveals our own bias which is why I was hoping that someone with direct knowledge would drop a hint. Some will say it's a big update and they're working hard on it, others will say they can't...

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta 11.4: What's New

Seems like two weeks is a long time for no news on the 11.4 front. Not even a peep, I don’t see any videos purporting to be of 11.4. Does no news = good news? The 11.3.6 build is pretty good but there are still some minor nagging issues with lane selection, unnecessary / confusing turn signals...

Discuss: Tesla Shows Data Around Battery Life Span: Just 12% Degradation After 200,000 Miles

I guess that's pretty good! This, coupled with the Teslarati article saying in 2022 Tesla recycled all kinds of batteries keeping them out of landfills at a rate of 100 tons a week (I think) makes me very happy to be a part of the EV community. Now- what would be REALLY cool is when my Y's LR...

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta 11.4: What's New

I would think so. As far as the rear camera staying on- you can do that now if I’m understanding what you wan— The rear displayed on the screen as you’re driving. New browser will be nice if it is quicker, or maybe that’s a cell signal strength issue for me. Seems pretty slow In general though.

Discuss: Tesla Reveals FSD Beta Accident Rate for First Time; Compares It to Autopilot and National Average

That's a wonderful rate of accidents / million miles. However- I believe that those of us using the beta are even MORE attentive than when using AP or not. Also, I don't turn it on when I know it will do wonky things on a particular stretch of road. Basically we only use it where we know it...
