Discuss: Tesla FSD Beta: Musk Says Beta 11.4.7 Goes Out This Week; Hypes FSD V12

There’s still time, fingers crossed for 11.4.7 :) I suppose Elon meant it will go to employees this week vs to the rest of us, but I can still hope.

Discuss: Tesla Updates App, Adds Siri and Automation Support Through Apple Shortcuts

Oh good! I’ve been using Tesla Remote App for this with my watch and had mixed results. Hope this works via Siri from my watch, it’s embarrassing and annoying to have to repeat myself.

Discuss: Tesla Hints at Upcoming Rental Service: "Big Things Happening"

So basically you're able to rent a Tesla while your Tesla is being fixed after a crash. The auto glass part would be good as well, as long as Tesla doesn't make you pay for it and get reimbursed from your insurance co. i've seen reports of this happening with some glass repair places. I'd be...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

Not supported at this time? That is- the current public FSD build isn't up to the new hardware? I can see that happening. Thanks for the head's up, I'd say it's worth the wait!

Not supported as in the FSD wouldn't transfer?

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

I see there is reporting that the new models are software locked. While stupid in some ways it raises my eyebrows because in AZ and I'm sure many other states the registration fees are based on the value of the car. So if one could buy that standard range and later pay $10k to unlock the rest of...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces a Cheaper Version of the Model S and Model X

@RNHurt - I think an S or X is over that cost threshold. The FSD thing would work. I was contemplating a similar move with my 2020 Y. In my case part of the calculation is what I owe on the current Y and how much registration will go up on the new Y. AZ had $25/yr registration for EVs ( or...

Discuss: Tesla Model 3 'Highland' Refresh: New Dashboard and Wheels Leaked

Wow, that dash piece looks a lot different. Wider and less deep front to back. Could that be a fabric / ventilated gray piece? That’s gotta be a significant change to the windshield and width of the car, right? I’m also happy to see the curb’d rim in the photo. It’s not just me. There must be a...

Discuss: Musk Reveals Final Piece in Tesla’s Full Self-Driving Puzzle: AI-Based Vehicle Control

I can't help but wonder if this 'massive leap forward' is responsible for the lack of any FSDb updates in the past month. I suppose there were a couple of 11.3.6 releases. Still, the FSDb world has been pretty quiet for a while now. That has my expectations very high from whatever is released...

Discuss: Researchers Discover Tesla Jailbreak That Allows Access to In-Car Upgrades

One of the headlines I read claimed it was un-patchable. Regardless, unlocking something that costs money is theft. That'll be interesting to prosecute!

Discuss: Tesla's Model 3 Highland Refresh: More Rumors Point to Imminent Release

So I'm doing a calculation in my head - that FSD transfer deal, if you order a 3 now would you be taking delivery before that offer is gone AND would it be a refresh model? My gut says the FSD transfer offer is an effort to clear out existing inventory so that's unlikely. Any guesses?

Discuss: Tesla Adds New Magic Dock Location and Switches to kWh Billing in Canada

I've read that there are a few places in the states that are mandated to charge by time vs kWh. Anyone know the reasoning behind this? That would certainly get people to consider leaving after hitting 80% where the charge tapers. Also- those magic dock Sc stations are brand new, right? Not...

Discuss: Tesla Faces NHTSA Scrutiny Over Reported Steering Failures In Model Y and Model 3

This is a strange one. Literally a dozen reports, no mention of AP or anything being involved. I hope someone figures this out if there’s a real issue. What’s interesting to me NOW about this is how it is reported, you can really see the slant one way or the other. For instance, if the headline...

Discuss: FSD Beta 11.4.6 Starts Roll Out, Musk Says V12 Is “Mind-Blowing”

That's great. Seeing some videos of 11.4.6 showing some improvement. As for Elon saying 'mild blowing'- I would sign a petition to stop him from commenting on unreleased products. The boy who cries ‘mild blowing’ is just as annoying as the boy who cries ‘wolf!’

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck Disguised With F150 Wrap. Is Tesla Preparing To Offer Wraps for the Cybertruck?

I’ve seen more reporting on this. That got me thinking- Is the wrap a 1:1 reproduction ratio? That could be useful information if it is. The F150 4 door is a sizable beast, I’ve seen a couple Lightenings in town. IMO they made the Rivian look like a Nissan from the 80s or 90s.

Discuss: Tesla's Q2 2023 Earnings Call: Exciting Cybertruck Updates and Robust Financial Results

I just read a quick Reuter’s article quoting the Stellantis’ CEO. He mentioned profitability dropping from 17 to 10% which I haven’t confirmed. That got me thinking- Tesla isn’t just building cars, grid storage and solar. They’re also building out the supercharger network. How profitable would...

Discuss: Tesla FSD Beta 11.4.6 Goes to Employees - A Look At Its Improvements

Can anyone speculate on what's going on with the 11.4.x fork and 11.3.x fork being put out in a hop scotch fashion? Seems like FSDb news has been lacking lately so why not guess :) ? I'm hoping this means the next release will be a nice jump forward in performance.

Discuss: Tesla Cybertruck Disguised With F150 Wrap. Is Tesla Preparing To Offer Wraps for the Cybertruck?

Ha! That's funny, wish I could see it in person. WRT the frunk- a nice size frunk would be appreciated, but if the bed is legit large and there are other storage options that's fine. Maybe preferable. The only time I remember to use the frunk is when I'm transporting Indian food or Pizza home...

Discuss: 2023.26.1 Official Tesla Release Notes

Have you seen that Elon says another ‘major OEM’ car manufacturer is negotiating licensing FSD? The Drive and Electrek’s podcast are reporting this. I don’t know HOW Tesla can do that with it not working properly, maybe they know something we don’t :) . Lord, I hope so!

Discuss: 2023.26.1 Official Tesla Release Notes

This is a strange time for FSD builds! I'm not entirely sure but I think the total # in the circular graph has gone up because of all the 11.3.6 installs. Those of us on 11.4.4 are 27% of the total but still at 4400 or so in total. That total # of 11.4.4 certainly hasn't dropped.
