So I'm doing a calculation in my head - that FSD transfer deal, if you order a 3 now would you be taking delivery before that offer is gone AND would it be a refresh model? My gut says the FSD transfer offer is an effort to clear out existing inventory so that's unlikely. Any guesses?

That's our understanding. The offer is in place as a gesture to take one of the current 3s instead of waiting for one of the refresh models. It's certainly possible some people may get lucky and receive a refresh if Tesla rolls them out before Sept 30, or if Tesla is the one to push back any orders that were originally going to be delivered before Sept 30th.

The good news is that Tesla now knows offering FSD transfer is a demand lever they can use, so we may see this offer again in the future.
