Discuss: Tesla FSD Beta v11.4.7.3 Goes Out; Tesla Talks About Milestones and FSD v12

So strange that 2023.32.9 11.4.4 is also going out. Any ideas on what Tesla is doing? Is that other build in other countries?

Discuss: In 2023 Tesla Recalls Are Just 2.7% of Industry, Down From 20% a Year Ago

That's a great stat to know. Good point. Good on Tesla for doing the OTA updates, can you imagine how much of a PITA all the old recalls would have been if we had to bring our cars in for them? That's gotta save on employee hours as well.

Discuss: Tesla To Introduce New Safety Feature That Monitors Driver's Drowsiness

Seems to me that drowsiness is a bigger issue when you’re NOT using FSDb. Right? I know this isn‘t directly related but- You know how there is a collision warning? How about a ‘you’re gonna run that stop sign / red light‘ warning? I wonder how hard it would be to program the car to do that… I...

Discuss: Tesla Update 2023.38 Will Predict Supercharger Availability and Wait Times

That's handy, how busy a SC is when you're arriving is better info than how busy it is while you're heading there for sure. Hope they take into account things like - holiday weekends that move every year. I guess that isn't very challenging for a biz like Tesla.

Discuss: A Look at Tesla's First V4 Superchargers in the U.S.

Oh good! I was wondering when the US would get some V4s. I wonder how long it will take before the V4s are the new standard installs? Seems like once the V3 came it that became they only type installed quickly. Does anyone else feel we could still use slower chargers at retail locations...

Discuss: Tesla's New Model 3 Features an Improved Suspension With Selective Frequency Dampening

I'm excited about this new 3 (despite not being in a position to buy anything new soon). I hope all these little tweaks pay off and make it a more 'luxurious' ride. My guess is that since the battery/motor/etc is not radically changed and the only efficiency gains are from aerodynamics the NEXT...

Discuss: Tesla's FSD Feature Acts as Guardian Angel in Near-Miss Incident [Video]

This is a good example of how the car can see more than we can without being distracted. Still, I can't help but think some audio feedback would help when the driver is mashing the accelerator and the car won't go. Something simple & quick - 'Look left' or just 'Car left' or the good ole war...

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.25; Adds New Model 3 Assets and Wall Conncetor Support

I suspect it is hidden away so that no one can hijack a wall connector set out for public use, like at a place or work or B&B or something.

Discuss: Tesla's AI Revolution: A Glimpse into the Future Through Isaacson's Lens and FSD V12

I worry that it will always be more cautious to a fault.

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.25; Adds New Model 3 Assets and Wall Conncetor Support

This got me excited to add the wall connector to my app. The hardest part was finding the quick start guide with the QR code buried in my house. Once I had that it went very smoothly, also updated the firmware on my wall connector in the process. I think if I was unable to locate the QR code on...

Discuss: Tesla Unveils Powerwall 3: Specs, What's New and How It Compares to Powerwall 2

This sounds very interesting! I'm pretty solar / powerwall ignorant so I have a few questions that may be silly- First, I know someone who has a solar system from a different installer. She thought her inverter was dying / dead. Could she get a PW3 instead of an inverter? I think that would be a...

Discuss: First Glimpse of Tesla's Mythical $25,000 Car? [Video]

I hope that’s not it. I suppose Honda sold a few 2 seater vehicles but how much demand is there for that? Maybe it’s my own bias but I think a 4 seater with a small trunk but fold down seats is a more useful car. No point in getting excited in any direction yet as it’s a ways a way :) . Exciting...

Discuss: Tesla's AI Revolution: A Glimpse into the Future Through Isaacson's Lens and FSD V12

Man, that v12 AI stuff better pan out and the sooner the better. I hope Elon's enthusiasm about this is more accurate than in previous builds! Tesla had been the only real EV game in town for a while but now there are a few others so v12 is the new 'only game' potential wrt EVs. I suppose the...

Discuss: Tesla Finally Introduces a True Blind Spot Indicator in the New Model 3 [Video]

Seems very un-Tesla like, but okay. I agree with the idea that not having one on the passenger side is also strange. I guess if the idea is that you won't have side mirrors at some point those lights on the inside would make sense. We have trained ourselves to look up to the rear view mirror to...

When will FSD 11.4 catch up with the rest of the upgrades

Good question, FSD seems to have always lagged behind build wise. I wonder with the latest weirdness if Tesla will ’unhook’ (for lack of a better term) FSDb from the car’s build and that will stop soon? Something is going on! Wait and see…

    Route planning.

You know, this has me thinking. I wonder if it would be a helpful tool to have a ‘virtual S/3/X/Y’ webpage where you could pull up an in car screen and see what how things work. Like route planning, all the adjustments, safety & service stuff. Have it work exactly like it works in the car with...

    Route planning.

Covid has me laid up for a few more days, but my memory (which is scrambled eggs currently) is that the totals are on the bottom box in my 2020 Y. That is - when you’re navigating there is a top box with directions and one below it with estimations. If that doesn’t display the WHOLE trip...

    Project Highland Reveal (carwow)

Don’t get too excited about the range, that’s WTPL or whatever, look for 11% or more from current levels due to no drive train changes. Still a nice touch-up. Somehow I don’t see how that front end translates to the Y :) .

Discuss: Tesla's HW3 and HW4 Cameras: Comparing the Differences in Quality and Hardware

Those 'back up' cameras are quite startlingly different, the old one looks like something you want to wipe off. Weird that the resolution isn't a HUGH jump like the rest of the cameras. Right?

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to v4.24.5; Improves Apple Shortcuts Support

Nice. Trunk stuff works, you do have to specify which Tesla if you have more than one and open / close or else it will ask you when you try to run the short cut.
