Discuss: Tesla Model S Has New Glass Roof That Lets In 5x More Light; Showcases Continuous Innovation

WRT roof glass- Is this a good thing? Blocking the UV is great, how about blocking more IR / heat? Also- more light means more light reflecting off the screens. Add a white interior and get even more light / reflections. I live in AZ but in the mountains, and during at least half the year I’m...

Discuss: FSD Beta v11: A look at Tesla's Voice Drive Notes

I like the idea of this for a few reasons. 69.2 likes to signal on twisty roads that used to be no issue and this would be a good way to convey that info. Same with unnecessary lane changes 'to follow route' or even incorrect lane selection. Can't wait to try this out :)

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta v11.3.1 to Public; Not All Features Make the Cut

Looks to be still there in the videos I’ve seen. Edit- the ones I saw with the nag every 90 or so seconds the driver said he was wearing sunglasses. The Whole Mars Catalog videos have none as TeslaJunkie pointed out. Tesla FSD Beta 11.3.1 - 90 Second Hands Off Timer

Discuss: Tesla Releases FSD Beta v11.3.1 to Public; Not All Features Make the Cut

I don't have it but I see there are a few videos on YouTube from beta testers. Haven't had time to watch any but that may answer your question.

Discuss: Tesla's Next-Gen Vehicles May Use Stainless Steel Like the Cybertruck

I had this thought too. If the stainless steel process is so strong and inexpensive why not make a little cybercar? Also, if the X is a real SUV why not have a cyber X? I guess that would be a CT modified to an SUV.

Lost connectivity with my garage door opener with update

It would help to post which update you have as 'last' update isn't the same for everyone. I've got the FSD beta 69.2 on two cars with no issues, which isn't helpful info really, sorry :).

Discuss: Tesla Opens Superchargers in the U.S. to Other EVs: Price and Membership

Wow, that’s not a good deal IMO. $12.99 / month? That’s more than EA and Charge Point (or was that a different one?). I suppose the argument there is the Tesla SC network is more robust in just about every way except charging rates where it tops off at 250kW vs EA’s 350kW. I suppose not too...

Wanted feature when I push the wiper button

That would be nice. In the mean time (at least on the 3 & Y) when you tap that button the options for wiper speed pop up under the visualizations of your car and you can tap which speed you want, from off to auto.

Discuss: Tesla FSD Beta v11.3 Improvements Explained in Plain English

There is a trickle down (for lack of a better term), for example- in this article's linked video the poster says some new safety features will be on all cars with the newer hardware (so like 2017s at the earliest?). I would expect all safety stuff will go to all cars that are capable.

Discuss: Tesla’s Hardware 4.0 May Be Capable of Bird's Eye View Feature

There must be a substitute for the USS system for those who don't have it. No one can argue that IF that functionality was part of the car that you purchased. However I also feel that the USS discussion doesn't belong in a HW4 thread. All too often legit gripes about something else get plopped...

Discuss: Tesla Under Pressure to Open Up Supercharger Network to Competitors

Hmm. So if there is $ attached to opening up the *existing* network an adapter will be needed for CCS cars to use it. No doubt Tesla could build that adapter that supports fast DC charging and sell it, perhaps the government program should cover the cost of the adapter when purchased by a car...

Discuss: Musk Shares Additional Details on the Rollout of FSD Beta v11.3

Replace 'promises' with 'estimations' . We'll see soon enough. I guess he can't just say 'we're working on it and it will come out when it is ready.'

Discuss: Updated Tesla Cybertruck Prototype Shows Off New Features [Video]

Wow, that tailgate is big. Looks kinda Lego like with the rear light bar. I can see putting a billboard on there and calling a CT a business expense. Or a big mirror which could confuse autonomous driving systems. Interesting that the mirrors are removable. I'll have to check the state code...

    Software Window Recall Update Done???

Well, no luck. We have a letter dated 11/18/22 saying the fix is coming in a future OTA update but I can not pin down which / when.

    Software Window Recall Update Done???

This is where I wish I kept the paperwork mailed to me saying it was fixed by update XXX.XX. I gotta go to an appt but I'll look for the actual update that fixes this. Electrek or someone is bound to have it.

    Software Window Recall Update Done???

This page could help you narrow it down. https://service.tesla.com/vin-recall-search You'll need the VIN I remember getting snail mail on recalls being addressed by software updates but I tossed them out. Here's what comes up for my GF's 2018 LR 3- Recall Date Recall Number Details December...

Discuss: Owner Finds Tesla Is Already Using Vision to Replace Ultrasonic Sensors

Huh. I’d like to see reports from more drivers seeing this. I’m still perplexed as to how the removal of USS happened before the ’Tesla Vision’ replacement. Such is software development I guess :) .

Discuss: Elon Musk Reviewing FSD Beta v11.3 For Release

Yes! Hills & slopes are not recognized well yet with FSD. I think AP1 is too ‘stupid’ to worry about that mild hill that you’re talking about. FSD is smart enough to know that it can’t see well but not smart enough to understand the hill crest and how to approach it. Not yet! So there is hope...

Discuss: Elon Musk Reviewing FSD Beta v11.3 For Release

He’s talking about releasing to employees, then the testers? I’m guessing. Glad things are progressing, I’m still kinda perplexed how the 10.69.1 and .2 betas have been dribbled out. Seems like in the past once a new build got to 10% for a few days it went wide quickly and was 90%+ in a few...
