He’s talking about releasing to employees, then the testers? I’m guessing.

Glad things are progressing, I’m still kinda perplexed how the 10.69.1 and .2 betas have been dribbled out. Seems like in the past once a new build got to 10% for a few days it went wide quickly and was 90%+ in a few days.

Actual smart summon? Musk promised at the original announcement for Autopilot that the car would be able to meet me at the curb in front of my house. It can't do it with AP1 and it can't do it with FSD. In fact, FSD is a bit worse, because it complains that my driveway has a slope. It's not enough of a slope that anybody driving by would even take notice of it, but I literally can't back my car out of the garage with smart summon. I can with AP1, and could almost from the initial release of summon.

I'm still waiting for the day that I can make it even out of my neighborhood to the nearest main road without having to disengage FSD. That would require handling speed bumps properly, but that would require FSD to learn on a location to location basis. What's a comfortable speed at one place might be jarring at another.

At this point, I'm not waiting for the day when I don't have to pay attention. I'm waiting for the day that I could take a single trip without having to take over multiple times. I don't know if Tesla will get there ever, but it might be able to handle more mundane main streets and highways.

Yes! Hills & slopes are not recognized well yet with FSD.

I think AP1 is too ‘stupid’ to worry about that mild hill that you’re talking about. FSD is smart enough to know that it can’t see well but not smart enough to understand the hill crest and how to approach it. Not yet! So there is hope that will change soon.

Actually, the original Autopilot did have problems with slopes early on, but it was fixed within a couple of updates. For me, it was an update with no release notes.
