Discuss: FSD v12.5.1.3 (Update 2024.26.10) Release Notes

Got the 12.5.1.3 update this morning, not sure when I'll be able to test it out but being such a minor point update not holding my breath. Looks like it's going out to over a hundred today so hopefully it'll go wide.

Discuss: FSD v12.5.1.3 (Update 2024.26.10) Release Notes

I should also point out that even with the issues that persist, that drive last night was super enjoyable because of the car doing all the work. The air was clean from recent rains and the vibrance turned up on everything from rocks to leafs. Worth every penny, but can be better. We can see...

Discuss: A Deep Dive into Battery Tech, LFP, NMC and New Solid-State Batteries and the Advantages They Offer

Thanks for that explanation. Would a solid state battery have a similar form factor to the current batteries? I've also seen reports on Sodium-ion batteries being promising tech. The rub there is that the manufacturing plants currently used for Lithium wouldn't be easily converted to Sodium. So...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.1.3 (Update 2024.26.10) Release Notes

Be careful what you ask for, having to hit the accelerator frequently can be just as annoying. Hopefully this .3 version will solve that! Keep in mind you can't be wearing sunglasses or a visor that blocks your eyes from the camera to void the nag.

    FSD 12.5 Issues

Same thing happened to us on a decent drive from Prescott to Sedona and back wrt the speed. Seems to happen when I have the offset set vs letting the car manage speed with the disclaimer. FWIW- there was a blip where it would see school zone speed limits, it didn't yesterday for me. It still...

Discuss: Tesla Launches Faster 320kW Superchargers in New Public Trial

This is interesting, not just because of the cabinet but if I'm understanding right- the CT is charging faster than 250kW.

Discuss: FSD v12.5.1.2 (Update 2024.26.5) Release Notes

Look forward to trying this one out. I had some strange issues pop up with .1.1!

How can I use a different WiFi account?

It’s asking for the WiFi password, not your user info. Just like at home.

How can I use a different WiFi account?

Sure, I do that myself. When you get to work select that network and type in your credentials and that's it. The car will find that network when you go to work, then the one at home when you go home. You're not limited to one. You need to have a good signal where you park of course, and I'm...

    FSD 12.5 Issues

12.5.1.1 today did the same thing it did yesterday for me- stayed in the right lane too long as it approached my destination on the left (vs a left turn yesterday) so at .1 miles I took over. It did this fine up until 12.5.1.1 for me. This time I was on Iron Springs road which is 2 lanes in each...

Discuss: Tesla's Dry Cathode 4680 Battery Cells Will Mean Cheaper, Better EVs

Can't wait. So the 900+ 4680s will replace the 4000+ older batteries in volume and storage / power?

    FSD 12.5 Issues

12.5.1.1 didn't seem to improve anything that I could see on a trip out to the warehouse where I work. In fact, it didn't move over to the left lane before the left turn off HWY 69 like it used to in time and went right past my turn off. Still routed around the block to get home vs just turning...

    FSD 12.5 Issues

The car does read speed sign, but the GPS stuff is used too. It's confusing but when you go by a SL sign you'll see it rendered unless it gets blocked by a truck or something else big. What you saw on 74 is what I saw on HWY 69 & 169- it doesn't render or respond to the 65MPH signs on State...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.1.1 (Update 2024.21.5) Release Notes

That would be nice if it is for HW3! The move to 2024.21 isn’t much of a leap, so maybe that is it? Fingers crossed.

    FSD 12.5 Issues

I've seen this as well on state highways (Think 169 and 69) where the 65 MPH speed limit isn't picked up. I just use the other setting, where you set the car to go 110% of the posted SL. Then you can scroll up to 70. On I17 the car did fine with reading 75 MPH signs, but occasionally read the...

    What’s changed from FSD 12.5 and 12.5.1 ?

Arg. Some more stupid routing today, that's not any better unless you luck out with lanes in my case. To be fair the release notes say something about choosing appropriate lanes coming in a future release. Still super smooth & smart. Saw a pedestrian that I didn't approaching from my right as I...

    What’s changed from FSD 12.5 and 12.5.1 ?

Back. I went to Lowes and Arby's which is only a whopping 13 miles or so. First thing I noticed is routing had me going out of my neighborhood the quickest / shortest route which is using a recently re-opened street (after construction). So that's better. While on the way out I switched from...

    What’s changed from FSD 12.5 and 12.5.1 ?

Good question. I'm getting 12.5.1 right now and will head out shortly, if I notice something I'll post. Sadly I do drive in a small town so on the same roads a lot so chances are good that I'm not seeing all the improvements. My hope is that the lane selection on our state highways and local...

Discuss: FSD v12.5 (Update 2024.20.10) Release Notes

Some more 12.5 observations from today's grocery runs- the whole 'smooth and natural' thing you're hearing from all the drivers in the videos you're watching is exactly right. Part of it is getting US used to FSDs being confident & capable. Where I'm seeing room for improvement- some local HWY...

    2024.20.10 installed 2023 XLR FSD 12.5

Well, I figured out that my assumption that the car was defaulting to assertive when I set it to average was user error. I thought toggling the right scroll wheel to the right just brought up the screen to change between the three settings (and the fewer lane changes) but it was actually...
