Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

Exactly. Totally unreliable. Guess why the distance from the previous is increased for vision vs radar. I did the opposite, vision didn't detect a black wall in a diagonal parking. Touched it slowly and without damage, but touched it.

    Yoke wearing out

Looks like the Highland then. Still blinders on the center/left next to the right arrow or something more reachable by hands smaller than Jimi Hendrix'?

Discuss: Tesla's Energy Boost: Unlock More Range on Model Y RWD

They should do something also about the LR, reducing the thrust / disengaging the front engine on command, further reducing the (unnecessary, anyway) acceleration, when longer range is required.

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

It seems so, from a regulatory perspective at least. Think it like it has been portrayed about the "why lidar?" article, where Tesla apparently used it to provide Vision with a "ground truth" to feed the ML/AI algorithm. Expand it further, as if the regulator didn't allow Vision to be the only...

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

Looks like there's no autopark nowhere in the EU without USS, also by looking at all localized versions of the Tesla website. Perhaps the news should be rectified?

Discuss: Tesla Vehicles Spotted With LiDAR: What Do They Use It For?

Question to FSD owners: how does your car handle pouring rain?

Discuss: Tesla Introduces Most Affordable Car: Long Range RWD Model 3 with 363-Mile Range for $34,990

Since M3 prototypes with a front bumper camera were spotted, I would wait for the next sub-iteration anyway, which might also come before the Juniper. I didn't because I had to change the car anyway, but if I could have, I definitely would have. Personally, I'm not a SUV fan, and a heavier EV is...

Discuss: Tesla Introduces Most Affordable Car: Long Range RWD Model 3 with 363-Mile Range for $34,990

And these cars are all way too fast for practical use and safe driving, even on Chill/Soft acceleration. Apart from the initial "early adopter" phenomenon, you wouldn't want them going to the wider masses like this. Let alone having a newly licensed driver driving them legally. Tesla just...

Discuss: Tesla's Upcoming Model Y, Project Juniper, Spotted with Front Bumper Camera; Coming in 2025

Well so you don't even need bumpers, let alone cameras :D

Discuss: Tesla's Upcoming Model Y, Project Juniper, Spotted with Front Bumper Camera; Coming in 2025

Oh eventually, someone recognized that a bumper camera is actually required for parking anywhere else than in a desert?

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

Following the train of thought, this should clarify (still pending confirmation from my friend): The Italian website still shows Autopark in the "Future features" section, alongside Summon(s). Either they are slow commercially or... this confirms it ain't an Italian thing. And we don't drive...

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

I just confirmed with a friend that he's got EAP on a recent MY without USS. As soon as he gets the update he'll tell me if he has Autopark, eventually. In that case I might upgrade as well. Still no summon, but at least not as irrelevant as the status quo.

Jeez. Would be great reading about someone with EAP/FSD in the EU.

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

I confirm that after installing the latest version, mine only shows minor fixes, no mention of Autopark. But again, I don't know if I'm supposed to read the item in the change log without EAP/FSD. Logically I should, and it would be a nice commercial push to upsell (like "You can have it...

When does Autopark and Summon show up in Germany

To my knowledge it has never been active in the EU. Only autopark, until it wasn't. That's why I've never purchased EAP/FSD, the only benefit being getting rid of obnoxious autopilot beeps (which on autopilot on are unnecessary at best) for lane-changing.

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Vision-based Autopark in Europe - Requirements and Features

That's Brexit, mate 😅 Jokes apart, mine is just downloading and in the released notes there's no autopark. I don't know if that's because I don't have EAP/FSD, but not so keen to part with 3k just to ascertain it, also by reading the previous posts about how inaccurate it is.

    Software update wishlist

Turn sentry on/off by app as within car's menu I'm not referring to switching sentry on/off with the red recording icon. If someone moves the car, when closed sentry resumes the general setting, overriding the last. So, if you give the car to someone (e.g. car valet), and you have sentry off in...

Just got 2024.20.1 but no adaptive headlines in settings on my Mega Austin 2023 MYLR?!?!

Haven't had the chance for a proper night testing. For those who did, do they swivel horizontally (like most cars I had) or are they activating side pixels for cornering? I would expect them to work either way, not necessarily expecting the beam to angle in the curve, like traditional motorized...

Headlights on BEFORE tunnels Would be great if Vision anticipated by turning the headlights knowing that a tunnel is approaching, rather than 50 meters already in, something all other light-sensor equipped vehicles wouldn't be able to replicate...

What Happened to Custom Lock Sounds?

Don't mention it. They made it very confusing. But hey, it works. And I was amazed to be able to configure it in a way that Car Valet doesnt auto-lock and play any lock sound. The customization freedom we get with profiles is one of the true Tesla's game changers.
