Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.2 (Update 2024.33.5) Release Notes

I'm pretty excited to get off of 2024.33.10 in my hw3 MX. Please, oh please, pick me. Pick Me! 😆

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Industry Standard for Low-Voltage Systems

This is AWESOME and I hope it really takes off. Standardizing these things helps everyone; from the auto makers to the providers of accessories. My only question is I thought the 48v stuff was blue and this connector is black. 🤷‍♂️ I wish Tesla did more of this type of thing and less of the...

Discuss: Everything Tesla Announced During Its Earnings Call - Robotaxi Details, HW3 Support, FSD and More

Another thing I don't quite understand. Tesla confirmed that they are making money (and quite a lot of it) but they keep pushing deals on cars; FSD transfer, Cybertruck referrals, etc. Are they making all of their money in Energy and not really doing much in Cars anymore? Will they get out of...

Discuss: Tesla To Upgrade HW3 Cars if Needed: What To Expect

I'll believe it when my 2020 MX gets updated.

Ford CEO admits to a dirty secret that can benefit the automaker

This is a very good look into the thinking at Ford. If any legacy American car company has a chance at challenging Tesla I think it might be Ford. https://www.thestreet.com/electric-vehicles/ford-ceo-admits-to-a-dirty-secret-that-can-benefit-automaker

Discuss: Everything Tesla Announced During Its Earnings Call - Robotaxi Details, HW3 Support, FSD and More

They are going to upgrade HW3 computers for people who have purchased FSD?!? If true, this is HUGE news! I also like that they are working on their service system. Our cars can already do most of the diagnoses and automating the whole thing just makes sense. I guess there will be a time in...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

According to TeslaFi, it looks like 2024.33.25 (FSD 12.5.6.1) might be the replacement for 2024.32.10. I hope it fixes the "Exclude at Home" but for my front door. That is really, REALLY starting to bug me. 😡

Discuss: Tesla Shares Details of Its Upcoming Wireless Charger [VIDEO]

This might also be attractive for hotels. Less equipment to damage or leave lying on the ground. Just pull into a spot and park for the night and have a fully "fueled" car ready to go in the morning.

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

OMG - YES! Both of these things are currently preventing me from even trying FSD right now. This happens to me as well. When I first got this version I tried a longer trip that involved getting onto the expressway and it had me in the far left lane until the very last minute. There was quite...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

I just discovered that this update broke my Solitaire game! Technically, I think it broke any browser based activity but I generally only play games. :D Anyway, launching the game just causes it to immediately fail and take me back to the games list. The only way I was able to get the game...

Discuss: Tesla Confirms Hardware 3 is Robotaxi Ready

I'm learning to accept the fact that my '20 MX will probably always be behind on updates, even the fun ones. My plan going forward is to just enjoy the car for the next several years and move to a newer one when a major update happens. Things I'm wanting in my next Tesla (probably a MX)...

Discuss: Tesla’s Robovan – Everything We Know After We, Robot

Just watched the MKBHD review of the We, Robot event and I have to say that I agree with him. The event was cool but I'm not really sure it was much of anything beyond a Hollywood production. The Cybercab is interesting but Tesla is doing a lot of promising and not giving a lot of details...

Discuss: Tesla Adds Smoother FSD Visualizations by Fixing Four-Year-Old Bug [VIDEO]

It always bugged me that the cars on screen were a little behind what was happening in real life. You could almost, but not quite, drive just by looking at the screen. I remember it being explained that what we are seeing on screen is not really what the car is seeing, it's just a...

Discuss: Tesla's Robotaxi Event - We, Robot - Everything Announced

Hmmm... after reviewing some of the claims made at this event and the "generous" timelines of Tesla predictions in the past, I have a hard time really believing that we'll all be riding around in Cybercabs anytime soon. Maybe FSD in a Cybercab is 100x better than my MX, but I know that my car...

Software update rollouts are killing my patience

Yes, welcome to the world of Tesla software updates. Sometimes you get them rather quickly, sometimes it takes several months. 🤷‍♂️ I was on 2024.26.something for almost 3 months before I got an update. You can try to contact the service center and they might be able to update your system...

Purple Streetlights Are Seen As Green Traffic Lights

Has anyone noticed that failing / failed LED street lights are showing up as green traffic lights in the binnacle? I'm not sure if this a recent thing or not because the LED street lights near just started failing. As you might know, some LED lights have a phosphor coating that causes blue LED...
