Discuss: 2024.33.40 Official Tesla Release Notes

I'm just hoping that the next release fixes my "Exclude at Home" auto-opening door. It's astounding how badly this bothers me. :censored:

Just got new tires, and a cracked windshield.

The work was done under cover but the doors were wide open and completely visible from my vantage point. The temperature was certainly colder that morning, which might be a contributing factor. But I agree that I don't know why they would use multiple floor jacks when they had car lifts in the...

Discuss: Enhance Auto Adds Stalks Back to Your Tesla With New Product

They said that the stalks are battery powered but didn't mention how they are recharged. Do you change batteries? Do you have to plug in a USB cable every once in a while? How long do they last on a charge?

Just got new tires, and a cracked windshield.

I got new tires yesterday (Michelin CrossClimate 2) and I really like them. Well, I've only driven 10 miles on them but so far they are great. The downside is that I noticed a small crack in my windshield on the drive home. The crack wasn't there before the store put on the new tires. I...

Discuss: Tesla Adds Water Shield to Rear Camera for 2025 Model 3 and Model Y

Yes! This was one of my biggest complaints with my MY. That rear view camera gets dirty even before you leave the driveway! The MX doesn't seem to have the same problem. Sure, it gets dirty with time but nothing like the MY did.

We need a YouTube channel for "legacy" Tesla's!

Yea, my idea was to create super short videos (YouTube Shorts?) to highlight one or two things at a time. 🤷‍♂️ I don't think it's so much that competitors are catching up, I think it's more that Tesla communicated that their vehicles would get continuous improvements. While I think they've...

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

I think it's still just AP4 cars though, right? No legacy models ... yet. ☹️

We need a YouTube channel for "legacy" Tesla's!

You know how all the Tesla YouTubers have the latest and greatest vehicles and are always posting the results of the latest software updates? Well, there should be a YouTube channel for those of us with legacy vehicles complaining about shit that doesn't work right in our cars. Just post a new...

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

Darn it, I was hoping to avoid X. Basically, the only reason I keep my X account is to get support from corporations. ☹️

Discuss: Inside Tesla’s FSD: Patent Explains How FSD Works

I believe that the "virtual camera" was a big part of the v12.x firmware. It's my understanding that before v12, the system treated each camera as it's own individual data source and didn't try to combine them (at least until much later in the chain).

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

I've often wondered if/how you could give feedback directly to Tesla about these software updates, and not just for driving stuff. For example, the last 2 releases broke the "Exclude at home" for auto-opening the drivers door. How do I communicate to Tesla that this functionality is broken...

Discuss: Tesla’s New Offline Commands: Key Features & Compatibility (Legacy Model S/X Not Supported)

While I'm disappointed in another feature that legacy models won't receive, there is a spot of bright news in this article. Our cars might not be completely obsolete yet. There's a chance that we could get some more new features (ie. A.S.S.) so that's good.

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

I agree with the slightly smoother ride, though I couldn't make it more than a mile on suburban roads before it tried to do something stupid and I disengaged. 🤷‍♂️

Discuss: Tesla Vehicle Data Report: How to Request It and What's Included

This is super interesting and could really come in handy. Also, there is no way that you could get this type of information from any other manufacturer. I wonder if Rivian has anything like this? Or the new Scout Motors (aka VW/Rivian love child)? On the downside, I'm guessing this makes it...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

Yeah, it didn't fix the door opening problem. And it also didn't fix the "nervous teenager driving in traffic for the first time" problem either. 🙁

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

Currently downloading 2024.33.5. I don't expect much but hopefully they fixed the auto-opening door problem so that my car stops trying to gut me when I walk through the garage. 🤞

Discuss: Tesla App Update 4.36.5 Expands Referral Program, Adds Vehicle Docs and Summon Code, Remote Access and More

I just noticed this but when I looked at my insurance docs they were wrong. Anyone know how to correct the documents?

    Software update wishlist

Now that RCS (Rich Communication Service) is being more popular and is available on (almost) all cell phones, I would like Tesla to update their software to support it. This would allow group messaging and maybe even message reactions.

Discuss: Tesla to Allow Drivers to Display License Plates in Vehicle Visualization

Right!? When I saw this I was like "ummm... ok.... I guess." I would rather them work on fixing the drivers door ignoring the "Don't automatically open at home and get in the way all the time" feature. I would love for a "service record" feature to be added. Something where you could...
