Mark on GPS when using actuallysmart summon if a road is considered a public road
Can Tesla please make it so that when using actually Smart Summon, it tells you what is a public road before you use it? It rarely happens, but sometimes the car will be in the middle of driving and about to turn down a completely fine road, then break and stop because of a “public road”. If it knows the path that it needs to take to get to me and it knows it’s a public road, why does it go in the first place? I’m not sure if it’s a GPS-based or if it is vision-based. Nonetheless, it is very embarrassing when it does happen.

Open phone apps on vehicle entry.
This may be more of a request by Tesla to Apple and perhaps Android software developers.
Using Apple’s Shortcuts app my Iphone is set to automatically attempt to open the Waze maps app to give me voice alerts for road hazards and police alerts other Waze users have reported on my route. It briefly lowers the music volume to announce the alerts.
The only problem is I have to unlock my phone in order for the Shortcut to open the app when I get in the car. I might as well just open the app myself.

I was thinking about getting the knob for both my cars. Would you mind giving a little review and what you like about it after you get to know it better?
I've thought about the knob. Looks like a well-designed piece of kit. I have 6 buttons, though only installed 2. (I couldn't think of things I really needed a button for, once I got used to voice commands).
One new Commander capability that happily surprised me was Autopilot Penalty Prevention. Works with FSD. Disengages FSD for me if I exceed 85mph, and re-enables it when the speed drops back to 85. Very useful when accelerating out of a jam, or a developing one, without having to pull over and park to regain FSD afterward.
Exactly, I was surprised to find that Autopilot Penalty Prevention. A bliss for me. I often get red flagged when I "expedite" an acceleration after the car detects someone inadvertently entering my lane, etc. and always wondered why the hell can't just Tesla either disengage (like Commander does) or at least limit...
Sure. Meanwhile have a look at the specs, their website is very comprehensive. Oddly, it started with the "buttons", which I have mixed feelings about, but the knob (and hopefully the stalks) are a game changer. Certainly I didn't buy the kit to open the glovebox with a button (don't think I ever opened it at all).
Commander alone enables things I wouldn't have imagined, like the autopilot speed limit prevention.
Kickdown: if you press the pedal more than a percentage you set, it can be configured to automatically switch to the fastest acceleration (gradually) momentarily, even if you're on chill.
Seats memory at the push of a button. Also for the passenger.
Opening the frunk by long pressing the front door handles.
The only thing I dislike about the knob is the "haptic feedback". The motor is very loud and emits a very cheap vibration, more of a buzz than the "tap" you'd expect from modern phones. I just disabled it.
Actually I was thinking to ask them if they could use the vibration for silent navigator notifications 
Other nice things: commander can link the autopilot states to ambient lighting. Even blinking with the NAG.
It allows silencing the speed warning automatically. One of my biggest annoyances.
Looks like they took most annoyances and resolved them.
The only other thing I dislike so far is that the stalks don't have horizontal movement, so can't be used for flashing cars. But you can repurpose any button for that, be it a S3XY button or the knob itself.

Set FSD to Keep Right Pass Left
FSD sometimes dwells in the left most lane while more states are adopting and enforcing "keep right pass left" good driver laws. We need FSD to have this feature/option. I read somewhere it's already doing this as required by law on Germany's Autobahn.

I can confirm 100% that autopilot uses regen. Actually yesterday I realized that I didn't even need to try it.
When I was driving downhill on autopilot on the highway, I recall even the % rising by a percentage point, other than seeing the green bar.
Here's an obvious one. Tesla, don't cover one pop-up window with another! Spread them out. This one happens to me a lot, but there are other combinations.
I'm leaving my gated community, and I'm navigating to, say Walmart. That gives me a list of destinations to choose from. BUT, as I'm at the gate, a gate-open window pops up, right on top of my destination list, covering up my choices at the top.
Now, this pop-up itself is problematic, because it opens the In gate automatically as I go out, based on GPS data. I don't really want it popping up at all when I'm leaving, and opening the gate to whoever is sitting their waiting for someone to open the gate.
At any rate, Tesla should be smart enough to avoid these kinds of UI conflicts.
