On my Tesla Model X, Version 2022.20.8 is running. Since several updates, I've observed a problem: switching off the light leads to errors in the self driving functionality: for example, driving into a tunnel leads to an immediate stop of self driving with the error message "Self driving stopped due to a system error". How can this problem be solved?

If I recall correctly headlights need to be set to Auto for Autopilot use, however that error sounds like something may be wrong. If you reach out to Tesla Service through the app they should be able to diagnose the issue.

Today, I had my service date at Tesla. Clear statement: there is no issue, the system works as designed! It needs the headlights to identify the track for the autopilot.

Thanks for following up! It's interesting that they don't display a better message for your headlines not being on auto.
