Software update 2024.26.7 to 2024.32 LTE issues

Any news from 2024.32.7 update, is it fix the LTE?
I am not receiving any updates for a month now.... stuck on 2024.32.3, tesla 3 LR 2023

After updating to version 32.3, I had to remove the physical SIM card because the car couldn’t enter sleep mode, constantly searching for a network and draining the battery while idle.
It’s been over a month now without any updates. Each time I use the car, I have to set up a personal hotspot on my iPhone.
While I have Wi-Fi available in my parking spot, no updates have arrived, despite reports that Tesla is aware of the issue and is supposedly working on a fix. I just hope they won’t overlook grey markets (there are a lot of Tesla fans and enthusiasts in our country). I check daily, hoping for an update as soon as possible…

I too have 2024.32.7 on the download queue. Please let us know also if you've had other 2024.32 versions before AND the LTE bug.
Either way, to understand whether it still causes the issue, for those who didn't have it yet, and if it fixes it for those who did.

Okay,
Everything starts after 2024.32.3 well known - LTE issue and battery drain 10%.

Updates:
2024.32.3- 2024.32.6 not fixed issue
2024.32.6 - 2024.32.7 not fixed issue

Other than that after updating to 2024.32.7 I got a "bonus" - my headlamps stopped working.
After:
1 soft restart
1 hard reset
And 2 software reinstalls - headlamps finally start working.

But LTE is still the same

Other than that after updating to 2024.32.7 I got a "bonus" - my headlamps stopped working.
After:
1 soft restart

And 2 software reinstalls - headlamps finally start working.

But LTE is still the same

Ok so definitely not going to install it unless someone from earlier versions than .32 reports no issue.

I don't think they killing LTE in non europe countries, intel cars work well.
It is a problem with ryzen on 2024.32. Hope next week we will recive 2024.38...

In other forums I read that removing the SIM card will indeed stop draining.
In essence, we can assume that with the SIM the modem is trying to connect but fails because of whatever. Without the SIM card, we can expect that such attempts would be avoided from the very start.
I don't even know where the SIM card is and by barely touching the surface of threads on the topic, doesn't look like a 1-minute job, like removing a USB. Hence the caution on installing 2024.32.7 which has been downloaded already on my vehicle, otherwise I would go for it and remove the SIM if it doesn't work. Anyway I can put a router inside the car, but - hey - if 2024.32.7 disables the USB ports with Sentry, it's a catch22.

Ohh today I found out that after yesterday update 2024.32.7, my windows are uncalibrated.

And I find it out in the middle of my path to the work .

2024.32 can be nominated on worst update of this year.

Really! So not going to install it, definitely. Anyway, question to Highland owners: I noticed that when I have the windows completely retracted and I open the door, the window goes UP, opposite of what it does when it's fully closed and the door is open (obviously goes down as with all coupes in the last decade, to make the closure smoother). WHY going up? It's very noticeable.

Yes, it helped me. The battery stopped losing charge while in sleep mode. I read about this in our Telegram channels where Tesla owners gather. Most Ryzen processor owners are doing this to stop the battery from draining while waiting for a software update to fix the issue.

One downside is that I have to share an internet hotspot from my phone and connect every time I leave the parking lot. Overall, it’s not too bad because the LTE in the Tesla itself doesn’t work, even with a SIM card inserted, due to the update. The Wi-Fi connection still works fine without any issues.

As for the toolbox, I can’t give you any advice because I don’t know anything about it.

To be honest, removing the SIM card myself was scary the first time. The second time, I already knew what I was doing, so it wasn’t as difficult. It’s located at the bottom, under the glove compartment, in a very inconvenient place. You’ll need to lie down with your head where the passenger’s feet go. In the Highland model the SIM card is located in a different place - it’s located near the sunroof partition, right where the speaker is positioned above the head.

Of course it’s better if a Tesla specialist does this, but since we don’t have official service in our countries, we have to do it ourselves or ask someone who has done it before.

If you decide to do this, you will definitely need a flashlight and tweezers, as the SIM card is in a very awkward spot.

Steps:

1. Remove two or three clips.

2. Carefully pry off the plastic cover; it will be held by two wires, which you should disconnect for convenience (it’s better to take a photo of how they were connected so you can put everything back later).

3. Lie down with your head where the passenger’s feet go.

4. You’ll see two slots – one for the memory card (not the USB one – definitely don’t touch that). You need the one with the SIM card, so be careful.

5. There’s a small black latch on the slot with the physical SIM card. You need to slide it.

6. Then, using tweeters, press the SIM card further into the port, and it will eject with a click.

7. I strongly recommend remembering or photographing how the SIM card was positioned, if you haven’t done so before. This way, you can put it back correctly later.

8. Put the plastic cover back in place and snap the clips.

That’s it. If you decide to do this, good luck!

I think it will be helpful for people in this thread.

And yes inserting of sim card very uncomfortable thing( i did it by myself last time). So soon i will have new experience with extracting.

About toolbox - I just enable service mode +, and from there can enable esim which is equal disabling external sim(just to not extract physical sim). But at 15 October my subscription will over and i will enable external sim and extract sim until future tesla update.

Little trick for sharing wifi from phone it is creating automation on iphone/android.
Logic:

• If Bluetooth is connected to Tesla
• Then enable LTE on phone
• And enable hotspot

Tesla support is useless. I asked them via the app if they have evidence of my model being affected from the 32.7 LTE issue or else to cancel its download... they answered that their updates don't cause issues, encouraging me to install it.
I answered so bad I could hear a distant thunder...

Anyway, I installed it just to prove them wrong, and - while not immediately, required a few shutdowns and restarts - it was on LTE. So at least we can say 32.7 doesn't brick the modem when passing straight from 26 or earlier.
