In their defense, it's supposed to be the high end material.
What I don't get is - why does the CT need a wrap with the high end material? Why not go cheaper there if the steel under it doesn't benefit from it?

I think its just so that the wrap lasts longer. To your point, the Cybertruck doesn't need anymore toughness. Tesla needs to better advertise why their wraps are better.
