I wonder if this means my legacy MX will get the "Weather Radar" feature. 🤔 Yes, it's MCU is Intel based but we've been burned before. 😥
Sorry, we amended the article after it was initially published. But we're only seeing this on Intel Model 3 and Model Y cars. Unfortunately, since legacy S/X didn't get the original weather feature, this isn't expected to be available either.

Although I don't own a legacy S/X, I feel your pain and really wish Tesla would spend the time and effort to add at least some of the features to those vehicles. It's clear they're capable of it, but it's the smaller user base that likely prevents them from spending time on the dev work needed.

My hope and this is pretty slim, but as Tesla starts supporting a larger variety of screens (18.5" with the Cybertruck and 20.5" with the Cybercab), they'll be forced to adopt a more responsive design that can accommodate a larger variety of screen sizes and that will make it easier for some of these features to become available on portrait based screens, where the orientation seems to be the biggest sticking point. There's really little reason why the original weather feature and weather at your destination aren't available on legacy.
