I always wondered why our DC connector in the EU (CCS2) is so extremely large and has a strange form (DC Plugs right below the standard ac connector). Would really like to have the NACS Standard here in Europe too. But as long as charging works for AC and DC - this is not a major miss, i never had problems using AC or DC CCS2 Connectors. Just looks odd :)

My understanding is that Europe has a lot of 3 phase power. The NACS connector was designed around single phase power and might require major changes to support other systems.

You are right, 3 phase power is standard over here. But i have a question. NACS is also capable of DC Supercharging with a much "smaller" connector. How is this possible when built for only one phase power? Over here, DC Charging has its own plugs below the standard CCS2 Plug on Superchargers.
