I had seen the blind spot monitoring for a few other brands like Lexus and Kia, and I had always wondered why Tesla never had it. Nice to see the improvement!

My understanding is you can patent things like not allowing a door to open when a car is approaching, so no doubt some smart person has done that. So if a car company wants to do that they’ll have to license it from the patent holder.
