I do wonder though is it specific to someone’s profile? Is there a new setup process for a driver? do you have to turn it on every time your kid gets in the car?

It’s tied to a specific profile, which is then tied to a phone key or key card. Switching profiles would require the parental PIN. However, given that Tesla doesn’t always select the correct profile if there’s another phone nearby, it could cause some issues. Using a key card should be fine though.
