Seems like that blind spot red shading when the camera is up is something that Tesla could add to the visualizations even when the camera isn't up. When a car is next to you and behind far enough hat it isn't displayed, just put some similar horizontal red shading next to / behind my car's image. Have it all in one place. Or maybe something up by the current speed display where I should be looking anyway.

It's things like this that seem simple but take ages to come to fruition (if at all) that make me think the Tesla infotainment code is pretty harry. Either that or getting some sort of regulatory approval for each update is monstrous so they only include the minimum features for that particular vehicle.

I've been a computer programmer for 40+ years and some of these updates look fairly arbitrary; however I've been around long enough to realize that sometimes there is a lot going on behind the scenes that make updates really hard. For example, it seems like figuring out when to trigger the "blind spot warning" in the first place is the hard part; shoving it to the display should be not as hard. You should be able to display a warning on all the screens, if you wanted to. However, that feature is limited to certain models. I have the same feeling with things like Predictive Charger Availability or Tire Service (Mileage) which should be easy to implement across all Tesla vehicles, yet the legacy models are don't get these features for some reason.

It's all very frustrating.

Or maybe I'm bitter because I'm still running 2023.27.7 from late September.

I wish the car would announce speed cameras rather than just showing on navigation, why do they not do this

I just got 2023.44.30.8 installed last night and the video performance is definitely improved. I can scrub through dashcam videos much, much better! And my YouTube player actually works now.

Also, I'm not positive but I think the Auto Windshield Wipers are better now. Not perfect, but they seem to respond much better to the amount of rain hitting the windshield. Maybe I'm just wishing and hoping. 🤷‍♂️

Yes on the wipers.
I noticed a strange thing that others have reported, still seeing it so I thought I'd ask- on my 2020 Y sometimes when I get in the drivers door and close it I hear OTHER windows move up a little. When are they dropping? Is that normal? Does your X do that? No one else has gotten in or out of those doors and the windows should be up. Only happens when the car has sat for a bit.

Yes, I do remember my MY doing that but I never quite figured out why. Maybe the windows open slightly to reduce cabin pressure when you close the door. 🤷‍♂️

My MX does not do this. At least I haven't noticed it.
