    The advantage of this is that if the door is already open, the car won't close it as you approach the driveway, nor will it open a closed door when it should be trying to close it. The other advantage is that it could get people to buy the MyQ hardware...if they didn't have a subscription fee...

    Tesla hints at 'Reverse Summon' being available this year

    I'm still waiting for the day that smart summon can back my car out of the garage. Musk promised that the original summon would be able to meet me at the (private property) curb in front of my house. It will it least move my car back and forth, but smart summon can't handle a slight incline.
