Discuss: 2024.14 Official Tesla Release Notes

It's apparently based on Ultra-Wide Band Support, therefore it's unlikely they would release the feature on former models. Hence also why it's not yet compatible with Android, because they only implemented it for iPhone mobile keys so far. The point is: the car needs to be sure it's you on the...

How long do we have to wait at all, it seems not to be released yet according to the stats.

Speed Limit confused by route signs... Huh!?!?

Yes happened also to me on basic autopilot. That, along with ghost braking, deserved some honking from following cars.

Discuss: Tesla Officially Launches the New Model 3 Performance, Deliveries Start Next Month

Disappointing. "significantly less road and wind noise", along with more comfortable seats, the adaptive suspensions, is what the Long Range misses (assuming "an improved sound system" is compared to the previous Performance, because the highland is already great on that front). One thing I...

    Hard Acceleration

Perhaps "chill" in the US market has been renamed "soft" in EU. The point is not about how fast it accelerates, but rather about how needlessly it does. In a queue it should just "creep" and only accelerate when the car preceding becomes distant, predicting its speed. Instead it just "jumps"...

    Hard Acceleration

I set it to 10 km/h in queues... just to avoid looking like the regular, drunk driver. As for "you have people who like that type of hard acceleration from a stop", yes there are lots of weirdos out there, but this is about safety. If a taxi driver drove like this, I would asking him to pull...

    Hard Acceleration

It does it regardless of the acceleration mode. And I keep it 99% of the time on "soft" (that's what I believe you mean by "chill"), still it accelerates too fast when the car ahead moves just few feets away to another full stop. Steering doesn't relate, I kept it "normal" on the 2022 M3 and now...

Resize keyboard and options to "swype" and haptic feedback The on-screen keyboard is waaaay too wide for automotive use, we are literally navigating with our hands across 7/8 inches (13 for numbers) while driving a car. Not good. Please allow resizing it / restricting it to half of the screen...

Discuss: 420 Anyone? Tesla's New Release is the Most Powerful Model 3 Ever

I think we went past the need of performance, ludicrous, track mode, 500 Hp and all that BS. Look at the BYD Seal, it outpaced the Model 3 in acceleration. Would you buy it? I wouldn't, but I would take a look at the Xiaomi when it's time. Who nowadays selects a car based on 0.1s faster...

    Hard Acceleration

In general acceleration, even in soft mode, should be a lot softer. You're stuck in a half-an-hour queue almost to a full halt, the last thing you want to have is a car aggressively pushing you for a split second right before braking, all within 10-20 km/h differences.

Well that gets more into the "Advanced" autopilot option. But autopark is really standard on most cars nowadays.

Incredible, this is happening. Thanks for listening @tesla. Edit: bit disappointing that Android isn't covered from the start. Would be interesting knowing the percentage of Android Vs. iPhone Tesla owners.

NAG: stop asking for steering wheel torque, leverage the capacitive buttons When I purchased my "highland" I recall asking the seller if the presence of capacitive buttons eventually resulted in the absence of the "torque nag". He nodded. Obviously he didn't understand the question. That's...

Fine with the "no stalks" approach, but steering wheel buttons and touchscreen are just plain crazy.

I'm super happy with the idea of removing the stalks, but not with the execution. The alternative conceived by Tesla so far is everything but intuitive. First, it takes a while to realize the obvious: the designer apparently aimed to preserve the same directional logic of the stalks (wait, this...

    Frustrating wiper controls.

Actually it's already like that. Just drag the wipers function to your favorites and you can simply disable/control them manually, without using the wheel button. And I'm all with you on the rest. It's just plain ridiculous. They get activated by mosquitoes but not by pouring rain. Most...

Prevent rear passenger to move front seat if occupied. We all know that all seats have weight sensors for seatbelts warning, right? Then why not inhibiting the rear screen from moving the front passenger seat when occupied? Or at least linking it to rear child locks such as window / door locks.

    AutoPark in EU??

Exactly. On the Highland they are if possible even worse than before. Was pouring with rain, nothing. Had to set them on manually. Was driving 300km in the sun, has to disable them. Even a mosquito would activate them.

I referred to the US way of having a traffic light row on the opposite side of the intersection, not at the stopping line, while in Europe is more common to have a primary row at the stopping line and a secondary at the opposite side. It normally works as intended, but at very comolex...
