Glad to see the watch app, one of the mac sites I read frequently said it should be out in the next week (Tesla time, so who knows).

I'm a little concerned about the 3rd party apps. Those same mac sites pointed out Tesla has crazy high pricing for those apps to work, seems like Tesla wants them to go away. No doubt the Tesla watch app with replace the functionality in the 3rd party apps, but still. That's kinda shitty.
Love the ability to save sentry mode and videos from the car to your phone. Seems like a no brainer.
The auto shift thing seems like a no brainer as well, but us drivers have to get used to it. I think Tesla and Apple realize that some big leaps are better achieved through steps so we don't get objectionable. This is something they could do on cars with stalks as well.
SiriusXM is a nice option, I don't have any experience with it but why not? Again- I'm sure that what seems like adding a simple content choice to US takes a lot of negotiation to happen. I'd guess the app development isn't as challenging as the negotiating!
Set arrival percentage for battery seems like something that should have been done in 2014, but okay! Same with weather info. Same with cross traffic alerts :)

The thing about auto shifting is that I think Tesla should have introduced this feature a long time ago. I’ve never understood why Tesla operates this way—they tend to take away a feature before they’ve fully developed its replacement. For example, they removed USS long before HFPA was ready. What they should have done is release HFPA, let it improve and gain some recognition, and then remove USS. That way, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal.

The same thing applies to the stalks. Before removing them, Tesla should have introduced something better and more efficient—like auto shift—and then removed the stalks. Things would run much more smoothly for them if they could be patient and prove that their new solution is actually better before taking away the old option and promising something better in the future.

That said, I have to give them credit—99% of the time, they deliver and meet expectations.

Has there been confirmed information on whether HW3 vehicles will receive the holiday update yet? Each major release announcement gets more ambiguous.
