What am I missing? My 2022 M3 LR is running v12 (2024.44.25.2 288ce84bb43e) and FSD 12.5.4.2. I do not have this option in the map overlays. Unless I’m misunderstanding what I’m reading about features and premium connectivity, I thought I would have this. Thanks.

Your car does not have the software version it needs for it. You likely have MCU2 as your infotainment computer, which means this feature is only availbale on Software Update 2024.45.32.2 for Intel Vehicles. The update should arrive to you soon, as i already got it a few weeks ago. If not, try to check manually for updates in the Menu "Software". Scroll down a bit there to see if any updates are available.

Edit: I also could be wrong on your MCU Version, as with the end of 2021 they released the MCU-Z on Model 3 Vehicles. Check your System Specs to see if you either have an AMD or Intel Processor. If its AMD, you should already have the Precipitation Map.

Thanks. I have Intel. I’m tired of trying to figure out their ridiculous release plan and naming conventions.

It is indeed confusing, but notateslaapp.com helps to keep track on whats happening for me. It is mentioned here that this is the first update that provides the precipitation map for Intel Vehicles: https://www.notateslaapp.com/de/software-updates/version/2024.45.32.2/versionshinweise

Here is the full article regarding your desired feature: https://www.notateslaapp.com/news/2447/tesla-is-adding-weather-radar-to-intel-vehicles
