Is anyone growing concerned about Musk's increasingly extreme political behavior?

Besides considering his behavior as embarrassing and ignoring it...

I have never been an Elon fan. I purchased the car because of what it could do or is capable of doing and in late 2021 (2022 M3LR) before he started being politically outspoken. In the divisive state of the US, I'm getting a little concerned about those who don't think twice about showing their distaste for whatever by trashing someone's car. I've even considered selling, but I'm not that far out there yet.

I was curious if others cared, didn't care, or ignored the possibility since it could happen to anyone, any car, for any reason.

I have traditionally tried to ignore his behavior but it seems to be getting more difficult by the day. I'm working pretty hard to distance the Tesla company from it's CEO in my mind; they are not one in the same. I just wish he would stick to building cool things and move away from the unnecessary rhetoric.
Agree. They sell static cling window decals on Amazon that say I bought this before Elon went crazy. Some people may like him crazy, so it might not work how I think it should. LOL

From what I’ve seen in print part of what pushed him so far to the right was being ignored by the current administration, wasn’t there a speech where Biden gave Mary Barra credit for pushing the EV agenda? I suppose Tesla being un-unionized has something to do with that but geez.
What I don’t get is the anti-California stuff. Yeah, you gotta pay taxes in CA so your customers can get all those tax breaks buying Tesla products from cars to solar to powerwalls. How big would Tesla be without CA and all those give-aways? He seems like a child at times, but then I guess he’s is on the spectrum so maybe that’s part of it?
Part of me *really* wishes he would leave Tesla and concentrate on something else, X, SpaceX or running for president. Tesla is so much more than just Elon. It was before he came along and it will be after he leaves. Who is the ‘Tim Cook’ of Tesla?

Yea, the White House held a "EVs Are The Future!" meeting and didn't invite Tesla. Tesla, the one 100% American car company that basically created the modern EV market and is driving it forward. I know that they didn't want to include non-union shops, but come on!

Agreed. Henry Ford did some terrible things but he knew where his bread was buttered and made sure to give back (mostly so that people could afford to purchase his product).

Again, agreed! I'm super happy that SpaceX has Gwen Shotwell and Elon is just an outside influence. "Who is the 'Tim Cook' of Tesla?" is a great question!

"Increasingly extreme political behavior?" When the greatest entrepreneur in American history became aware of (and effected by) several highly questionable decisions made by the present Biden/Harris "administration" and spoke out about its unfair and deleterious effects on the American economy and American freedoms, he was almost immediately attacked by the "left" because he was seem as a threat to their (present) ill-gotten and incompetent grip on American political power. His altruistic action of buying Twitter in defense of free speech was, somehow, seen by the left as a bad thing, though it is one of America's founding principles and strengths that is revered by honest people of reasonable intelligence the world over. I believe Elon Musk is displaying "increasingly extremely GOOD political behavior", which, of course, is still allowed (so far) in our great democratic republic. All his companies evidently now have the best of the best in their leadership positions, giving Musk time for planning and carrying out new endeavors, one of which is putting better leadership in charge of our presently incompetent federal government! Now, in addition to Trump Derangement Syndrome, we have an outbreak of Musk Derangement Syndrome, both dreamed up in the propaganda labs of the ignorant socialists among us who have no example of any socialist society that has ever functioned successfully in the long run (and didn't end up with a dictator in charge). As the days go by, I am dumbfounded by the now obvious incompetence of those running against the experienced Trump/Vance/Musk/Gabbard team, which will almost certainly make in huge change in the Washington Swamp when they come into office. If Elon is for getting something done, I'm for it, because it is most probably an altruistic endeavor and it will be done well.

You can't be pro "the results" but also be con at the work it takes to get it there.

Most people wouldn't dare or dream of working the hours that the NVIDIA CEO is working, but everyone praises the results of what the product can do and what it's doing for their stock portfolios.

Elon is doing what he must do (unapologetically) to get the results he needs to make sure his companies are staying ahead of the competiiton and that his vision of the future comes true. It's easy to criticize from the outside, but I'd say it's working. The world overall is benefitting from better EV's, smarter vehicles, cheaper space travel, cheaper satellite internet, etc.

If someone else wants to come along and help, great! They're probably not going to get very far if their main concern is being polite over results though.
