That's interesting. It didn't take long to get used to my hybrid cars, and the EVs are different enough that was a little learning curve but still- no big deal. I hope there's a nag after a month or two that nudges you to go full regen.
Seems to me that a lot of Tesla owners would be happy with MORE regen braking but the cars behind us prolly wouldn't like it.

Why is "low" vs. "standard" Regen mode battery impacting rather than just an ui change?

IOW, why can't low regen mode be "don't regen when you let off accelerator, but when you press brakes you use regen. If Regen isn't enough then actual brakes are engaged?"

That seems to be how a lot of phevs implement regen and I think that would make an easier transition for ICE drivers without sacrificing advantage of regen.
