This is really, REALLY cool. It's things like this that keep me excited about Tesla. Sure, it's not necessary and whimsy but I can't think of any other car company that would do something like this. Keep it up, Tesla!

Obligatory, damn I wish this worked on legacy vehicles.

Absolutely. I truly believe Tesla makes a conscience effort to build features like these instead of doing direct advertisement. Both of them cost money and get the attention of non-Tesla owners, but this method has the side effect of making their existing owners happier and making their cars better.
