Discuss: Tesla Adds Water Shield to Rear Camera for 2025 Model 3 and Model Y

Good deal, something needs to be done. Hope I can get this for free on my 2024 Y.

Discuss: Tesla Unveils V4 Superchargers Capable of Charging at 500kW [VIDEO]

Ah, so the current V4 pedestals are prolly just there for the longer cables and magic docks? Since they're not the new innards that's the only reason I can think for them. I guess they're liquid cooled too so that's a bonus too.

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

Not impressed. New nav has same stupid routing issues I've seen before. Stops at stop signs are abrupt. Turned left into a right lane instead of left when we weren't turning right anytime soon. Might be better at getting over before turns and some slow streets stuff. One thing that it did twice...

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

Thanks Craig! Looks like 5.6.3 is going out wide, just got it on my Y and look forward to using it.

Discuss: Tesla Adds New UI When FSD Camera View is Obstructed

Makes sense. I always thought that warning was strangely unspecific! Hopefully someone here can test driving in the dark to see if the warning comes up. We have that frequently when driving in very dark areas.

You gotta tweet any suggestions on X, I think that's how Joe Mode came to be.

Discuss: Tesla Improves Speed Profiles in FSD 12.5.6.2 by Applying Them to More Roads

Bring it on please. I'm on 12.5.6.1 and the speeds it decides to do on non-highway roads is just annoying. I'm cruising below the SL unless I goose the accelerator and there's almost no reaction to SL signs up or down. Once this is fixed we'll risk being complacent because the rest is pretty...

Discuss: FSD v12.5.4.1 (Update 2024.32.10) Release Notes

Watching a Dirty Tesla YouTube video right now- he said that the speed profiles in 12.5.6.2 include 'hurry' and that fixes some of that stuff BUT it only kicks in on roads > 50MPH.

Discuss: A Look at Tesla Update 2024.44: New Blind Spot Monitoring Feature, Supercharger Improvements

My understanding is you can patent things like not allowing a door to open when a car is approaching, so no doubt some smart person has done that. So if a car company wants to do that they’ll have to license it from the patent holder.

Discuss: A Look at Tesla Update 2024.44: New Blind Spot Monitoring Feature, Supercharger Improvements

I wonder if there is IP involved in implementing these features, so paying for it has to be worked out. That's prolly the part that takes the longest.

Discuss: Tesla Updates Cybertruck Range Extender Timeline and Specs

This is just disappointment added on top of disappointment. I don't need a truck, but had one been available at $77k with FSD and 500 + miles rated range I was ready to get one. It's another log on the fire for the Tesla nay-sayers.

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.38.5; Adds Categories to Shortcuts App and Minor Fixes

Huh. In case this helps- I created a shortcut 'trunk please' and selected my Y's trunk (we have 2 Teslas so I had to pick which one and which action- open or close). It seems that if you try to use 'trunk' or 'Tesla' in a shortcut it doesn't work. Sadly I forget all the other steps of getting...

Discuss: Tesla Updates App to 4.38.5; Adds Categories to Shortcuts App and Minor Fixes

Anyone else do this- I created shortcuts to open the trunk, close the trunk, vent my windows, etc. When I use Siri on my Apple watch to open or close the trunk very often it will open or close half way. Then I get a 'timed out' message of some kind. I'm usually doing this via my watch so I don't...

Discuss: Tesla Reveals Percentage of Parts Made in North America for 2025 Models

I checked the chart in the link, didn't see Jeeps listed at all. Seems like I see American flags on Jeeps a lot so I was curious :) . I guess they haven't reported their numbers to NHTSA yet?

Discuss: Tesla to Allow Drivers to Display License Plates in Vehicle Visualization

That reminds me- I saw a YOutube video where a guy decided to take his mini cooper and as he drove past his X in his driveway the door opened on the X hitting the mini! Whoops.

    2024.33.25. FSD 12.5.6.1

Welp, twice now the car hesitated while turning from one street to another. Very low stakes, but annoying AF. Also - still didn't get over quickly enough for my liking, chose the right of the two left turn lanes when being in the right left turn lane was a much better decision as after the left...

Discuss: Tesla to Allow Drivers to Display License Plates in Vehicle Visualization

Really? A lot of people want this license plate feature? Okay... that's interesting! I wonder what the draw is there, I guess it is just more personalization. I like the vehicle maintenance records being IN the car! Yes please. I can see where the battery health test vs other cars like yours is...

Discuss: Tesla’s Robotaxi: A Look at Batteries, Range, and Pack Size

One thing I haven't seen discussed much - the doors. I guess the doors opening like a beetle makes it easy to get in / out but how does that fit in a garage? Does it maybe not matter since a taxi isn't normally in your garage? If you buy one for yourself it would matter. Looks like it's a pretty...

Discuss: Tesla Launches New Industry Standard for Low-Voltage Systems

If this is a good idea then it will be adapted. At least that's how markets are supposed to work :) .
