It works that way because I have set it to work that way. I live in the city and I don't want the door to open unless I tell it to. Maybe Apples aren't as smart and Tesla has to do something extra for them. BTW MYQ charges nothing for the app and I can see status and open and close my garage...

What is this fee about? I have been using MyQ with my android phone and Model Y for over a year and I pay nothing. I just use the MyQ app. When I drive up my phone brings up the app automatically and I hit the big blue button. Thanks for nothing Tesla.

Why does it take so long for Android updates? I would be willing to bet there are more of us than Apple users.
