mileage shown on the odometer to miles driven

I was reading a CA lawsuit filed this month on how people have found the Model X was registering a higher number of miles for a drive causing warranty to end early. So I ran a measured mile and sure enough mine is also doing it. the miles I drove was 27.2 and the car shows 29.4. I cut a ticket and was told by Tesla service call in line NOT my normal service center that they don't know how to address this. And to call back next week so they can explain why this is happening to the car. so basically every 16 miles on the odometer I have really driven 15. So for 42000 miles showing It should read 2800 less.

Wow, that is actually shocking if it’s accurate. I wonder if there is variance in the amount it’s off by, or if it is roughly the same for every vehicle? Also, does this likely also apply to other models? This could likely be a massive issue for Tesla if there are vehicles running at of warranty a few thousand miles too early.

I'd like to know as well so I can do it in my 2024 M3LR. It would be nice to know if this is an issue on older models only, or if it is still occurring in newer models.

I tried 3 ways
1 state highway measured mile
2 a friend drove behind me for 15 miles and the app i'm using and his new 2024 Toyota said 15 miles the car showed 16.4
and 3 I downloaded and have used in the past driversnote
remember I found this as a CA class action lawsuit.
I will update everyone on Tuesday after I cut my second ticket with Tesla
remember this will affect trade in value, warranty and battery warranty.

No idea but I'm back ..... thought my pw was wrong and when I asked to reset it ... a screen said email was not on file.
When I created an account everything came back. So all is good
